Having built distributed systems at scale for over two decades—from early cloud infrastructure at AWS to real-time collaboration platforms at major tech companies—we recognized this as a classic connectivity problem that could be solved elegantly.
The "aha moment" came when our team member spent an entire afternoon trying to connect a JIRA MCP server running behind a corporate firewall to Claude Desktop. What should have been a 5-minute integration turned into hours of networking frustration.
